Before I get into all the fun things planned at the Center, I want to highlight a wonderful event in partnership with Higganum Hometown Market. The owner, Adam Abdullah, is offering FREE breakfast sandwiches at his store (in the center of Higganum) to ALL Haddam seniors, on Thursday, November 5, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Stop by, grab a sandwich and check out all the wonderful offerings he has in-store from fresh baked goods, to prepared meals, a wonderful deli and meat counter! We are lucky to have Higganum Hometown Market in town and grateful for Adam’s generosity to our seniors!

Attached are all the fun things we have in store for November, with highlights below:

Thank you to everyone who has been logging in to our electronic system, Schedules Plus, and signing up for daily lunches and events! We are making great progress in getting everyone on board, and I appreciate your patience as we continue the process.

SchedulesPlus One Sheet Training Document 10-2026

I have attached step by step instructions (above) with screenshots to help you log in from home, and I am available for one on one sessions for anyone who wants additional training or to have any questions answered. This is a big endeavor and everyone has been wonderful and curious, which has made transitioning much easier. The goal is to be fully transitioned to the electronic system by the new year.

Lastly, I have included a one sheet community resource page (above) that includes helpful information on local resources for Seniors. It’s a work in progress, so let me know if I missed anything. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with all of those you hold dear.
