Girls Swimming 2024: HKHS/Shoreline Co-Op Wins Season Opener 93-76

(October 5, 2024) — The newly formed Shoreline Co-Op Girls Swimming and Diving team, with high school swimmers from Haddam-Killingworth, Valley Regional, Lyme-Old Lyme and Old Saybrook High Schools, won its first dual meet of the 2024 season on September 17, 2024, defeating Ledyard 93-76.

Haddam-Killingworth Senior Olivia “Liv” Macaluso qualified for State Championships swimming the 100-yard backstroke in 1:11.39 and the 100-yard freestyle in 1:01.23. Valley Regional Freshman Claire Johnson also qualified for State Championships in the 200-yard Individual Medley (2:38.46) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:14.10).

Swimmers who competed for Shoreline Co-Op were: Aria Cummings (FR, H-K), Bethany Erkkila (JR, V), Claire Johnson (FR, V), Elsa Shatraw (SO, H-K), Emma Wakelee (JR, OS), Kinsley Grenier (FR, L-OL), Lauren Thebeau (FR, H-K), Maddie Cummins (FR, L-OL), Maggie Miller (JR, H-K), Olive Forristall (SO, H-K), Olivia Campo (SR, H-K), Olivia “Liv” Macaluso (SR, H-K), Rose Dimmock (JR, L-OL), Sasha Dziebel (JR, OS), Sofia Campo (SR, H-K), Sophia Langer (SO, H-K), Veronica Pypa (SR, H-K) and Zi Abbott (SO, H-K).
