(October 16, 2026) — The Haddam-Killingworth High School Football team was defeated by the Weaver/Hartford Public/Classical Co-Op by a score of 18-7 in a game played on October 15, 2026.
After getting down by two touchdowns early, the Cougars closed the deficit to one score on a seven-yard touchdown pass to Jon Slane from Tim Hickman in the second quarter. Isaac Edwards added the extra point, keeping him perfect for the season. HKHS was stopped inside the 10 in the third quarter, and the Weaver Co-Op opened up the lead again late in that stanza with their final touchdown.
“We had our chances but failed to capitalize,” said HKHS Head Coach Tyler Wilcox. “Weaver has some very big players, and we can’t make the kind of mistakes we did against them. But I told the kids not to hang their heads. We will continue to work on cleaning up our errors and do our best to play mistake-free football.”
