Essex Savings Bank Donates $10,000 to Local Youth Charity

Submitted by Elizabeth Kuhns, Essex Savings Bank

(March 12, 2025) — Essex Savings Bank has donated $10,000 in honor of Tri-Town
Youth Services Bureau’s 40th anniversary. The non-profit organization helps the youth of Chester, Deep River and Essex, addressing juvenile justice, crisis intervention, child welfare, mental health, positive youth development, and recreation. With this donation, the Bank supports TTYSB’s efforts to provide childcare assistance to ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families, who comprise more than 20% of the area’s population.

Essex Savings Bank is eager to assist with TTYSB’s mission. President and CEO Diane Arnold comments, “It is no secret that to maintain a healthy and connected community, we must always invest in the younger generation. That’s why the Tri-Town Youth Services Bureau is so important to us. We hope that this donation will help the bureau provide local families with the help they need.”

Essex Savings Bank is an FDIC-insured, state-chartered, mutual savings bank established in 1851. The Bank serves the Connecticut River Valley and shoreline with six offices in Essex, Chester, Madison, Old Lyme, and Old Saybrook providing a full complement of personal and business banking. Financial, estate, insurance, and retirement planning are offered throughout the state by the Bank’s Trust Division, Essex Trust, and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Essex Financial Services, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor.
