HARTFORD – With the summer season and patriotic holidays such as Memorial Day, Flag Day and the Fourth of July on the horizon, it is the perfect time to properly retire your worn, faded and tattered American flags as you prepare to put on fresh new displays of the Stars and Stripes.
State Representative Irene Haines (R-34) is providing two locations that residents can drop off their worn American flags for proper ceremonial disposal according to the U.S. Flag Code.  Drop-off locations will receive flags from May 30 until June 13, 2019.
The drop-off locations are:
- East Haddam Town Office Building, 1 Plains Road, Moodus, CT
- East Hampton Town Hall, 20 East High Street, East Hampton, CT
