Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident at 7:40 a.m. March 1, 2019 on Killingworth Road. A driver heading northbound lost control of his vehicle and struck a bumpy area of ground, which caused the vehicle to flip onto its side. The vehicle slid about 30 feet and struck a tree before stopping.
Prior to fire and EMS arriving, the driver self-extricated by crawling out the back window of his vehicle. The driver was evaluated by Haddam Ambulance personnel and refused additional medical treatment.
