Town & Country Nurseries 70th Anniversary!

(April 12, 2023) — Join us Saturday, April 29, 2023 to celebrate our 70th Anniversary!! We can’t believe 70 years have gone by already. From starting out as a local arborist to now having a full Florist Shop, Landscape Design & Installation Teams, a Garden Center and Farm Stand… we sure have grown!

This is going to be a whole day of celebrating! We will be offering demonstrations, workshops, a BBQ and kid’s activities through out the day. Below is an outline of the day, but always check back because things are always changing!!

9:00 a.m.- Open – There will be free giveaways for the first 50 customers of the day.

10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – Tour the Nursery with Carolyn Glazier and Andrea Mekrut. Learn about the history of Town & Country Nurseries and see what has changed over the years.

11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Container & Succulent Workshop

This workshop will start off with a brief discussion about container gardening and how to get started in your own yard. The second part of the workshop will include potting up your own container garden, whether you choose veggies, flowers or herbs for your container, it is guaranteed to be a good time! $25 per person.

If you aren’t into the container workshop, then sign up for the Succulent Planter Workshop. Choose from among a few containers and succulents to create a beautiful planter. $20 per person.

12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – BBQ Time
This is open to public and all food is free! There will many different options, such as Tofu Skewers and samples of our Gourmet Food Line; also, try out what will be new for the Farm Stand!

2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – TBA

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Container & Succulent Workshop

Kids Activities all day long!!
* Paint a Pot and Plant with a Blooming Plant for Mom for Mother’s Day (Free)
* Scavenger Hunt- Solve the 3 riddles and Get a Prize (Free)

Lastly we will be holding a raffle, where you could win one of three prizes:
1- Grand Prize: 3 Yards of mulch delivered (locally)
2- Hydrangea Tree
3- Fruit & Gourmet Food Basket

Raffle tickets will be $1.00 – All proceeds will benefit Dementia Research and families affected by the disease.
