Stand-Alone programs (one day, or limited consecutive weeks):

Author Talk: The Thin Blue Lie – Wednesday, September 18, 2024, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Join us as former Branford police officer and FBI Special Agent Greg Dillon speaks about his book, The Thin Blue Lie: An Honest Cop vs. The FBI.

The talk will include a presentation and time for questions. Signed copies of the book also will be available for purchase. When Dillon was assigned to a federal fugitive task force in Connecticut, he inadvertently uncovered a pattern of misconduct and falsified affidavits. After reporting his concerns to the politically connected but incompetent chief state’s attorney, the whistleblower finds himself a target of reprisal. Investigated, transferred, demoted, and threatened, Dillon hires an attorney, and—with the assistance of legendary whistleblower Frank Serpico—takes on both the state of Connecticut and the Department of Justice in federal court, resulting in an explosive verdict and a significant court ruling.

Halloween Pinatas – starts Saturday, September 21, 2024, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Create papier-mache pumpkins, witches or skeleton heads to decorate for the Fall season. This program will be held for four sessions, continuing on September 28th, October 5th and October 12th. This is an intergenerational craft, for ages seven and up. Registering for this first session will also give you access to the follow-up sessions.

Meet Aardvark the Shark – Wednesday, September 25, 2024, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Meet author Helena Lawrence, who wrote “The Adventures of Aardvark the Shark and His Quest to Find His True Name.” She’ll delight you with her interactive story, and then you’ll get a chance to take your picture with the one and only Aardvark the Shark! It will be “fin-tastic!” Appropriate for children six and younger, and their families.
