(April 16, 2024) — At 6:30 a.m. on April 16, 2024, Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a fatal, two-car, head-on motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Saybrook Road (Route 154) and River Road in Haddam.
One person died at the scene and two patients were transported to Hartford Hospital with injuries. LIFE STAR was initially requested, but was cancelled en route.
HVFC closed both lanes of Saybrook Road and diverted traffic. The road remains closed while Connecticut State Police are investigating.
