HVFC Responds to Motor Vehicle Accidents Hours Apart

(July 17, 2024) —- On July 13, 2024, the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to back-to-back motor vehicle accidents on Saybrook Road (Route 154).
At 4:35 p.m., HVFC was dispatched to Tylerville for a two-car accident. Two patients were evaluated on scene and refused additional medical treatment. Both lanes of Saybrook Road were closed for about an hour while crews removed the vehicles and cleaned debris from the road.
At 6:10 p.m., members responded to a three-car motor vehicle accident in front of HVFC Station One in Higganum. All vehicles were in the northbound lane. Five patients were evaluated on scene and refused additional medical treatment. Crews closed one lane of traffic during the incident.
