No matter how dismal the daily news can be, there is nothing like resting our eyes on a lovely garden to make us relax.
There is a feeling of peace and wonder found in gardens that help us to breathe deeply and ponder the miracles around us.
Recently, Nutmeg Pharmacy enlisted Bogue Farms of Middletown, to design a lovely garden at their Higganum Center location on Killingworth Road.
The garden hosts a variety of flowers in several colors, bright yellow, soft pink, silver gray, and orange. Sitting proudly among the flowers, green and white Hosta plants anchor the scene. Cream colored Echinacea, commonly known as “Coneflowers” stand tall on firm stalks. The plant is known for its medicinal qualities and is one of the most popular herbs worldwide. Pink Begonias and yellow and orange Marigolds sit along the edge of the border inviting viewers to look further. While they may seem tiny in comparison to their companions, they do make a statement of their own!
On your next visit to Nutmeg Pharmacy, I hope you will take a moment to enjoy this beautiful sight. I think it could help us to all to, “believe in tomorrow.”
