A Primary of Republican candidates for U.S. Senate and for Connecticut Secretary of the State will be held on August 9, 2022. Registered Republicans in Killingworth are encouraged to vote in this primary at Killingworth Elementary School, between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Candidates for U.S. Senate are: Themis Klarides*, Leora Levy and Peter Lumaj. For Secretary of the State: Dominic Rapini*, Brock Weber and Terry Wood.
The candidates’ profiles and links to their websites are available on the KRTC webpage, KRTC.org, and on our Facebook page, “Killingworth Republican Town Committee.”
You can vote in the primary via absentee ballot; applications are available now from Town Hall. Absentee Ballots will be available and may be submitted beginning on July 19, 2022. All Absentee Ballots must be returned/submitted by 8:00 p.m. on Primary Day, August 9th.
Per Dawn Mooney, Killingworth Town Clerk, all Absentee Ballots must be placed in the big silver mailbox next to the driveway at Town Hall. Do not place absentee ballots in the small mailbox mounted near the main door to Town Hall.

Want to change your voter registration? If you have a valid Connecticut driver’s license you can go to the Secretary of the State’s website at ct.gov to register/change your Party, or contact Lauren Blaha at Town Hall (860) 663-1765 x 216. You have until August 8th at noon to make any changes for the primary.
Please come out and exercise your right to vote. This is a big election year, and the results will have a lasting impact on our state and country.
