Pajama Story Time
Thursday, May 9, 2024 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Come dressed to cuddle, and bring your favorite stuffed animal! Mrs. Fig will share her favorite seasonal stories. Family members of all ages are welcome. Please register in advance, so we know how many friends to expect.

LEGO STEM Club
Tuesday, May 24, 2024 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Future engineers! Learn to use the STEM steps to success as you solve a problem, plan and create a design, and then test your project. This month’s project is creating a playground for LEGO kids to play on. It’s even more fun when you collaborate with another engineer, so spread the word. Suitable for elementary school students in Grades 1 through 4. Space is limited, so please register in advance!

Growing Groceries, Session Four: Seed Saving
Thursday, May 23, 2024 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Learn how to start a vegetable garden or hone your gardening skills with free classes presented by University of Connecticut Master Gardeners. Session four will focus on seed saving and includes information on plants to target and proper seed collection and storage. Appropriate for advanced gardeners. Space is limited, advanced registration is required. This series is presented through a partnership with Killingworth Evergreen Garden Club, Killingworth Shared Harvest Garden, and University of Connecticut Master Gardeners. Funders and supporters include: The Chas. C. Hart Seed Co. and Seed Savers Exchange Herman’s Garden Seed Donation Program.

Altered Book Art with the Florence Griswold Museum
Friday, May 24, 2024 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Join us as an artist from the Florence Griswold Museum leads us in turning old books into beautiful new works of art. All participants will be provided with a prepped book and a wealth of multimedia materials; just bring your imagination. This program is open to adults and teens. Space is limited, so please register to reserve your spot.

American Girl Club
Thursday, May 30, 2024 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Join us with your favorite doll (it doesn’t have to be an American Girl doll) and make new friends. Enjoy a story, discussion, activities, and a craft from a historical time period. This month, we will focus on Addy, and life during the Civil War. Suitable for elementary grades 1 through 4. Space is limited, so please register in advance!

Holiday Closing
The Killingworth Library will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024 for Memorial Day.
