Letter to the Editor: Iino Exhibits Killingworth’s Spirit & Loyalty

Killingworth is a small town with a huge heart. Our community’s spirit and loyalty is exhibited by and led by our current Selectwoman Cathy Iino. She has set an example of calmness and leadership so necessary in our world today. I am pleased to write a letter to commend her for all she has accomplished for Killingworth during her time as First Selectwoman. She has worked long hard hours, gone to meetings, met with and spoken to countless committees and organizations on our behalf, traveled our roads to see continuing improvement and maintenance to keep us safe.

During Cathy’s term in office she has fought to keep taxes low, and sought out ways to bring affordable housing to the town for seniors and others. She has worked tirelessly to bring businesses into the community that exemplify what makes our town special, including Lavender Pond Farm, SoConn Winery, and LaForesta, to name a few. She has supported Parmelee Farm and the development and improvement of many recreational facilities including Sheldon and Auer Park.

I invite you to come out on November 5th and vote for Cathy Iino and continue to keep Killingworth an example of what a well-run town should be.
