(October 5, 2023)—Please join the members of Haddam Volunteer Fire Company in welcoming our newest member, Stephen Lavaway!
Stephen comes to HVFC from Prospect Fire Department where he had served for 13 years and most recently, as a captain. Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to the company. He has taken both Firefighter I and II training and is a state certified EMT, Fire Investigator, Fire Code Inspector, and Fire Service Instructor. He also has a Q endorsement, signifying that he’s trained to operate fire apparatus in accordance with standards established by the Commission on Fire Prevention and Control.
In addition, Stephen works for the State of Connecticut as a Fire Marshal for the Department of Public Health.
