HVFC Responds to Severe Weather-Related Incidents

(January 13, 2024) — Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a truck vs. utility pole/wires accident at 12:40 p.m. on January 11, 2024, on Jacoby Road. A section of the road remains impassable as crews from Frontier and Eversource work to repair the lines and restore power.

HVFC also responded to an electrical fire involving fallen utilities lines/poles at 9:10 a.m. on January 13, 2024, on Old Cart Road; at 2:00 a.m. on January 10, 2024, on Dudley Clark Road; at 3:30 a.m. on January 10, 2024 on Killingworth Road; and 4:05 a.m. on Boulder Dell Road. Most of these incidents occurred during a heavy wind and rainstorm.
