HVFC Responds to Mutual Aid to Killingworth Oct. 2, 2020

Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded mutual aid to Killingworth at 10:23 p.m. Oct. 2, 2020 to spearhead landing zone operations for Hartford Hospital’s LIFE STAR, a critical care helicopter service.
HVFC was called to assist following a motor vehicle accident on Route 148, west of the Reservoir Road in Killingworth. The patient, who was extricated from a rolled-over vehicle, was transported by Killingworth Ambulance Association (KAA) to the landing zone area at Killingworth Recreational Park. LIFE STAR airlifted the patient to a trauma center with serious injuries.
