Killingworth Conservation Commission Announces 2021 Summer Kids Contest

Submitted by Stephanie Warren, KCC Chairperson.

(June 29, 2021) — The Killingworth Conservation Commission is again sponsoring  a summer Kids Conservation Kontest for children ages 6 through 13, in conjunction with the Killingworth Public Library.  The photo is the winner from the 2020 contest. Levi D, age 6, was thrilled to be the winner and to receive the prizes, especially the stuffed bear!
This year’s contest will run from July 6 through  August 15.  The contest challenge for each entrant is to complete a drawing of a native wildlife critter and then to write a paragraph  about the wildlife critter that was chosen.  There will be prizes for the best four entries!
Contest materials will be available in the Children’s section of the Library and can be completed at the library or taken home and then returned to the contest dropbox in the library.
This is fun for all and the prizes are terrific so be sure to enter the contest.
