(June 23, 2023)—Members of Haddam Volunteer Fire Company participated in a realistic water rescue drill June 19 at Haddam Meadows State Park. Aboard HVFC’s Marine-13, crews worked in teams to “rescue” a patient who crashed a personal watercraft onto a sandbar. Members on shore practiced methods for lifting and carrying an injured person in a rescue basket.
