(July 25, 2023) — Congratulations to our latest Haddam Volunteer Fire Company Junior Division member Evan Estelle for completing the Introduction to the Fire Service class hosted by the Connecticut Fire Academy!
Evan and his peers graduated from the week-long Cadet Class #52 on July 22, 2023. While at the academy, students participate in physical fitness training, learn in a classroom setting, and compete in team-based activities. At the end of the session, participants demonstrate the skills they have learned by responding to a simulated multi-story building fire for a live audience.
Cadet Class #52 also took a field trip to the The Ct Firemen’s Historical Society and Fire Museum in Manchester.
Evan, who joined HVFC in January of 2023, is the third Junior Division member to complete Introduction to the Fire Service this summer.
