HKYFS Announces Community Service Website for Students

Submitted by Jennifer Favalora

(June 25, 2024) — As part of our ongoing efforts to support youth engagement and community service, Haddam-Killingworth Youth and Family Services (HKYFS) is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Community Service webpage! This exciting new resource is designed to connect Haddam-Killingworth High School students with a wider range of volunteer opportunities within the community.

The website, https://hkyfs.org/community-service/ serves as a central source for discovering various community service activities. Whether students are passionate about environmental conservation, social services, helping seniors, or any other area, they will find opportunities that match their interests and passions.

Our initiative has been developed in close partnership with the HKHS Guidance Department and local non-profits to ensure a continuously updated and comprehensive list of volunteer opportunities. By regularly updating the available opportunities, we aim to provide students with reliable and impactful ways to contribute to their community.

If your student is looking for community service opportunities, or if you know of a non-profit seeking to connect with enthusiastic volunteers, visit our new webpage for more information.

We look forward to seeing the positive impact this new resource will have on our community, fostering a spirit of volunteerism and making it easier for students to get involved in meaningful ways. Together we continue to support HK youth in their journey of service and engagement.
