Football 2022: HKHS Falls Short at Morgan, 30-23

(September 19, 2022) —Tyler Baldwin threw two touchdown passes and ran for another to lead Morgan (1-1) to a Sassacus Division/Pequot Conference win over Haddam-Killingworth High School (1-1) in Clinton on September 17, 2022. The Huskies led 30-0 early in the fourth quarter following touchdown runs from Baldwin, Griffin Renaudo, Casey Corrigan, and TD receptions from Jake Caprio and John Nye. HK’s Alex Phipps threw three consecutive touchdown passes for the Cougars in the fourth quarter, including two to Tate Callender, to bring HK within one score. The Cougars onside kick with 1:18 remaining was recovered by the Huskies.
