HK Rec Dept: 2019 Hotshot Contest

Register for the 26th Annual Hotshot Contest on Feb. 19, 2019 at the Haddam-Killingworth High School Field House.

Each player will have one minute to shoot from “hot spots” placed on one half of the court. Starting at the center of the half court line, the player dribbles into shooting range. The contest challenges player’s speed, shooting, dribbling, and rebounding ability. Three one-minute rounds constitute the duration of play for each player.

Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the HKHS Field House
Boys 9-10 & Girls 9-10                             2:30 p.m.

Boys 11-12, 13-15 & Girls 11-12, 13-15    3:15 p.m.

*Must turn 9 by 12/31/18. Residents of Haddam and Killingworth only.

$5 if you pre-register; $10 if you register at the door

The top scorer of each division will advance to the State Competition on Saturday, April 6, 2019, 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Old Saybrook Recreation Center (308 Main Street, Old Saybrook). The CRPA Hotshot Contest is co-sponsored by the Connecticut Recreation & Parks Association (CRPA).

This recreation program is designed to promote basketball enthusiasm as well as skill, fun, physical fitness, friendship, and good sportsmanship.
