Baseball 2023: HKHS Defeats East Hampton 8-0

(May 31, 2023) — Callen Powers pitched a two-hit shutout, striking out eight, to get Haddam Killingworth High School a first-round win, 8-0 over East Hampton, in the state tournament on May 30, 2023. Powers helped himself with a hit and drove in two runs, while Ryan Erskine had a hit, drove in two and scored a run for the Cougars. Gavin Santillo had two hits for East Hampton.
