Haddam-Killingworth High School defeated Rocky Hill 9-1 in a First Round game of the CIAC Class M division Softball championship on May 30, 2023.
Grace Natanzon paced HK with three hits, including a long triple, scored two runs, and drove in three. Pitcher Kaleigh Bodak scattered six hits with five strikeouts to pick up her sixteenth win of the season. She also had two hits and three RBI. Emma Giaccone pitched a scoreless seventh inning for the Cougars. HK next plays East Hampton at home on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in a second-round game at 4:00 p.m.
