(July 6, 2022) This Friday is “Kids Become Vendors Day!” Each year the market sets aside a day for the children in our community to gain some experience in running a small business. It is a great opportunity for children to learn valuable skills and develop self-confidence.
One of the young vendors, Lillian will have succulents, jewelry, and art at her table. Her mother explained, “This is her third year as a “kid vendor” at the Higganum Farmers Market. Lillian and I have a small mother-daughter business called With Love, Sarah and Lilly. We up-cycle things like the teacups the succulents are in, and we find old jewelry to make the jewelry with.”
They have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SarahandLilly where you can learn more about their business.
Some of this week’s vendors include:
Bracelets made with pony beads by Sam K.
Little T’s Fresh Lemon Squeeze – by Tristyn, Teagan, Tatum, & Taylor
Cousin’s Canine Cookies – (and dog bandanas) – Scarlett and Bella
Jewelry, succulents, and art – by Sarah and Lilly
Bronze Award Jewelry and Treats – Bracelets, necklaces, keychains, cookies, and brownies
Claire’s Canine Cookie Company – dog treats
