(August 24, 2023) — On any given Saturday in Higganum from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, you may notice the hustle and bustle occurring at the former Haddam Elementary School. What is the buzz all about, you ask?
If you have not already taken a turn into the parking lot and meandered to the area, you will find that it is a hive of activity. You will come across dozens of vendors, from local farmers to artisans and musicians to community organizations and, usually, there is a table or two with freshly-cooking bacon and egg sandwiches. All of this vibrancy is part of the ongoing Higganum Farmers Market, which began its season this past June.
The market will be taking a break on Saturday, August 26, 2023 and Saturday, September 2, 2023 but will then resume on September 9, 2023 and run through mid-October, concluding on the 14th of that month. Be sure to stop by. Bring the whole family, as there is something for everyone of all ages.
