Haddam Senior Center: Play Cards! Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m.

Submitted by Marjorie DeBold

(July 13, 2022) — Come by the Haddam Senior Center.  Keep cool.  Enjoy being a Senior. It’s funny how our retirement life seems to remodel itself as we age and grow into it.  At first it feels like a vacation.  And then comes the time when we find that it might be interesting to enjoy being with others – maybe playing cards, or bingo, or working on a puzzle, or just talking with others. Several of us used to enjoy playing cards, especially a game called Setback.  Is there still that interest among us?  The suggestion is being made here that we get together to play Setback.   If you play, or used to play, or would like to learn to play, please visit the Senior Center on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 p.m.  If there is interest, maybe we can arrange a recurring time to play every Tuesday. The Haddam Senior Center is open for activities Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Call the Activities Director, Colleen, between 9:00 and 3:00 for more information (860-345-2480).  She can let you know about other activities too: the lunch program, bingo, special trips, and other activities.

An important thing to remember is to enjoy retirement and keep active.
