Food Drive to Benefit Shoreline Soup Kitchens September 9th

(August 30, 2023) — A food drive to benefit Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the Stop & Shop store located at 215 East Main Street in Clinton.

Among the non-perishable foot items Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries is most need of are: peanut butter, canned tuna, cereal, tomato sauce, canned vegetables, and pasta.

More than 1.7 million pounds of food was shared through the Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries in 2022. SSKP serves residents in Essex, Chester, Clinton, Madison, Old Saybrook, East Lyme, Lyme, Old Lyme, Killingworth, Westbrook, and Deep River.

The food drive on September 9th is sponsored by State Representative Chris Aniskovich.
