Digging for Good Kid Crew

Join Higganum residents Rob Harlow and Curt Chadwick together with their merry band of “detectorists,” both young and old, as they investigate the museum grounds for artifacts from the past. The Digging for Good group has a passion for exploring, history and for being outside. They also give back to their community by making a donation to a local charity. Their operation is simple—they will metal detect at a property owner’s request, the owner keeps all the finds and the “diggers” give back to the community by making a $75 donation to a local charity just for the opportunity to investigate. All of this is at no cost to the property owner.

On June 25 the crew will investigate areas at the museum where the barn once stood and also the privy sites. Join us at 14 Hayden Hill Road, Haddam. Free and open to the public. For more information on the Haddam Historical Society or this event, call 860-345-2400 or email contact@haddamhistory.org.
