RSD 17 Hosts Community Conversation on Master Plan November 16th

Submitted by Kerry Markey

(November 12, 2023) — Regional School District #17 (RSD17) invites the community to an important Community Conversation where several final options for the RSD17 Master Plan will be presented. The Master Plan is a long-range plan to repair, rebuild or replace our school buildings.

Date: Thursday, November 16, 2023
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Haddam-Killingworth High School Auditorium

This Master Plan presentation represents the culmination of months of careful planning, collaboration, and community input. RSD17’s dedicated Board of Education members, in consultation with architects and other experts, have worked diligently to ensure that the Master Plan options align with the District’s educational mission, values and needs.

At this presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to:

· Gain insight into the proposed options for the Master Plan.

· Understand the potential impact on our schools and community.

· Ask questions and share thoughts with District representatives.

· Participate in a live survey to express preferences and priorities.

For those unable to attend the meeting in person, a live stream will be provided. Details on how to access the live stream will be shared closer to the date and can be found on the RSD17 Master Plan project website. The survey will also be made available online following the presentation.

RSD17 values community feedback and looks forward to hearing input on the future of the district’s educational facilities. Questions can be emailed prior to the presentation to: masterplan@rsd17.org.
