(December 6, 2025) —- State Comptroller Sean Scanlon has released projections showing a $164.4 million surplus in the state’s General Fund and $43.7 million in Special Transportation Fund surpluses. The total fell significantly from last month as new projections of corporate tax revenues plummeted under the federal budget approved this past summer. The state also saw increasing shortfalls for state medical and housing programs. At the end of the 2024-2025 fiscal year, Connecticut contributed $1.4 billion toward state pension liabilities.
