(August 4, 2026) — Haddam residents are now able to recycle small gas cylinders such as propane, butane, isobutane, propylene/MAP and consumer helium tanks at the Haddam Transfer Station. The program, which began this past June, is free, but a sticker is required to enter the Transfer Station. Stickers may be purchased at the Haddam Town Clerk’s office.
Accepted cylinders will fit in the hole in the cover of the collection barrel. For more information on the program click here. The Haddam Transfer Station will continue to accept 20 lb. BBQ grill tanks. Ask a Transfer Station associate for help in locating the storage area.
