(May 14, 2026) — The Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Tennis team pulled off an impressive 4-3 victory over Westbrook on May 13, 2026, defeating the #2 seed in the Shoreline Conference behind a dominant singles performance. HKHS swept all four singles matches to secure the hard-fought Conference win.

Leading the way at first singles was Sophomore Tyler Medina, who made a return from injury. Medina controlled the match from start to finish, defeating Miles Hayden 6-1, 6-1.

At second singles, Sophomore Matthew Medina continued the strong showing for the Cougars with an energetic  6-1, 6-2 victory over Yareth Antunez. Third singles player, Freshman Cooper Broder also delivered a steady performance, cruising past Jackson Bonner 6-2, 6-0 to keep the momentum firmly on HKHS’s side.

The match of the day came at fourth singles, where Senior AJ Livingston earned MVP honors after battling through a grueling three-set match that helped clinch the overall team victory. Livingston fought through a tough second set before regrouping to defeat Evan Lessard 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 in a thrilling contest.
