“All Things Killingworth” Picnic Returns October 3rd

Submitted by Jessie Ford

(March 15, 2026) — The All Things Killingworth Picnic will return on October 3, 2026, bringing neighbors, families, and friends together at Deer Lake Outdoor Center in Killingworth for a full day of food, music, and community fun, all while raising funds to support two local causes that directly help local children and families: Deer Lake Outdoor Center and the HK Backpack Program.

The picnic will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will build on the success of last year’s event, raising thousands of dollars for local nonprofits. This year, proceeds from the picnic will help fund summer day camp scholarships at Deer Lake, giving children the chance to experience summer camp outside.

Proceeds will also support the HK Backpack Program, a local initiative that helps ensure children who may be struggling with food insecurity have nutritious meals over the weekend. Through the program, students receive backpacks filled with balanced, child-friendly, nonperishable foods that are easy to prepare and eat.

The All Things Killingworth Picnic was created to bring the community together while supporting local nonprofits. What started as a community gathering has quickly grown into a much-anticipated annual tradition centered around connection, volunteerism, and giving back.

We are thrilled to have Diamond Sponsor Barrel House, which will once again host a beer and wine garden at the picnic, with all proceeds from the garden donated back to the event. Sponsors, community members, vendors, local businesses, and nonprofits are all invited to take part in the event.
