(January 30, 2026) — On January 28, 2026, the Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball team defeated Westbrook 58-34, bringing their record to 9-3 on the season. The Cougars were led by junior Kody Lehet, who had 16 points, tying his career high. The victory was an all-around team effort, as the team saw playing time by Sophomores Evan Garcia, Peyton Esposito, and Jon Slane. Garcia had 5 points, while Esposito and Slane each had 2 points.
Rounding out the scoring, Senior co-captain Declan Moriarty had 10 points, while Senior co-captain Jay Evans had 2; Seniors Pierce Goodison (4), Spencer Savoy (6) and Ethan Pitts (9) and Junior Noah Marica chipped in 2 points. The Cougars will face the Coginchaug Blue Devils at Coginchaug on January 30, 2026. JV at 5:30 p.m., and Varsity at 7:00 p.m. See you on the Court.
