Winter Weather Advisory Information:

As we head further into the winter season, I wanted to review our Winter Weather Protocol. As we typically open later than the schools, we do not follow the RSD17 school closings per se. A decision on closing the Senior Center will take place as soon as possible, and will be made no later than 9:00 a.m. on the days the Center is scheduled to be open. Once the decision to close is made, it will be posted on the Town of Haddam webpage, Haddam, CT | Official Website; our Facebook page, Senior Center – Haddam Connecticut; and when possible, I will send an email to our distribution list and update the phone message when you call the Senior Center. The town also will have the closing notice aired on WTNH-TV (Channel 8).

From January 5th to January 9th I will be away and may not be able to update the distribution list or the phone message, so please check the town website and Facebook page for updates and spread the word to your friends if you can.  You will be in good hands in person at the Senior Center as Mike Jantsch (and Callie) will be filling in! Any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Have a safe and wonderful start to the new year!
