(December 22, 2025) — On December 13, 2025, members of Killingworth Boy Scout Troop 18 had their annual winter camp-out and ‘Campfire Cook-Off’ at Cockaponset State Forest in Chester.
The scouts cooked many different meals over the campfire including nachos, cheeseburgers, chili, mac n’ cheese, sausage and peppers, baked potatoes, and shepherd’s pie.
Bode Nolf won the challenge with his homemade clam chowder. The scouts camped overnight and woke up to snow in the morning.
