(July 31, 2026) — Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 18 in Killingworth attended summer camp at Camp Sequassen in New Hartford in July. The scouts competed against scouts from other states in multiple competitions and won the Sequassen relay, consisting of a one mile run, 400 yard swim and a 400 yard canoe trip back to shore.
The scouts completed many merit badge classes including swimming, kayaking, sports, home repair, orienteering, camping, leatherwork, astronomy and multiple other topics. The scouts also earned the Honor Troop Award for their participation and enthusiasm over the week.
