Haddam Land Trust Hosts Connecticut River Paddle November 1st

Submitted by Haddam Land Trust

(October 25, 2025) — The Haddam Land Trust will host a Connecticut River Paddle on Saturday, November 1, 2025. We will leave the boat launch at Haddam Meadows State Park at 5:30 p.m. Expect the event to take two to three hours. Canoes and kayaks are welcome!

This is a family outing and children are welcome, so bring along some campfire food and join us for a pleasant evening on the river. You may find this paddle to be a delightful hiatus from a sometimes busy holiday weekend. Weather permitting, we should have an easy, short paddle and a good time telling tales around the campfire.

Remember, life jackets are mandatory and must be worn. A flashlight is good to have, as is a whistle if you have one. The paddle is about two miles with a break in the middle. Rain, snow, heavy winds, floods, hail and/or thick lava flows will probably cancel this program.

For more information, contact Peter Smith at 860-267-9223. All Haddam Land Trust programs are free and open to the public. Check our website and Facebook page for any updates.
