Programs and Events at Emmanuel Church in Killingworth

Submitted by Rosemarie Prelinger

(May 21, 2025) — Now that the introspective time of Holy Week and the glorious Easter celebration are behind us, it is time to Spring forward. At Emmanuel Church in Killingworth, we are turning our attention and efforts to one of our most important missions, that of outreach to our greater community. When we say “All are Welcome,” we mean it!

Many families, adults and children alike, no longer regularly attend church services—but do you find you have a missing “peace” in your life?  Perhaps you would like your children to gain a religious foundation? We have arranged a very inviting children’s corner in our church complete with books and activities and a rocking chair for the parents.  For older children, Sunday School can be provided. Planning is in progress for Confirmation preparations. If you have a child you would like to be confirmed, please contact us at 860-663-1800.

And for you, would you like to find a supportive, close-knit and welcoming community? Don’t let anything stand in your way. Even our new handicap ramp and walkway has been completed for easy access.

Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. is the date for our annual “Men’s Night Out.” If you plan to attend, please RSVP at tdinsmore65@comcast.net The “Ladies Luncheon” will be announced soon. Both are gatherings in our Social Hall for spiritual growth, fun activities, camaraderie and sharing a meal. Come and join us. Our Sunday services are at 10:00 a.m. followed by getting together for our coffee hour, sharing our joys and sorrows, news and views. If you are looking for a caring, all-accepting, loving community, give us a try! Once again, all are welcome.
