(January 27, 2025) — On January 19, 2025, scouts from Troop 18 braved the cold and went ice fishing at a private pond in Killingworth. The scouts learned the basics of ice fishing and had a successful event catching more than ten fish.

On January 25, 2025 scouts from Troop 18 participated in the Aquila 2025 Winter Klondike at Camp Sequassen in New Hartford. The scouts competed with other troops from across the state in fire building, first aid, knots and lassos, axe throwing, shelter building and team building.
