(January 22, 2025) — On Friday, January 17, 2025, the Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Basketball team fell to a record of 4-5 with a 50-44 loss to the defending division champion Lyme-Old Lyme Wildcats. The Cougars were led by senior Cody Robinson with 16 points and junior Jay Evans with 13.
The Cougars started out strong with a 7-0 run, but ran into foul trouble early and as the game progressed, the team could not connect and failed to make plays. Senior Andrew Crayton led in rebounds with 8 followed by junior Spencer Savoy with 6 and Jay Evans with 4. Evans and Savoy hustled with Evans securing 2 steals; and Crayton had 5 assists.
Rounding out the scoring, Savoy and Crayton had 6 points each and junior Declan Moriarty chipped in for 3. The Cougars hope to turn the tide on Martin Luther King Day away at East Hampton, weather permitting; JV at 10:30 a.m., Varsity at 12:00 Noon. See you on the Court.
