This is a message from the town of Haddam.
The Town’s Fire Departments and Public works are working to respond to hazardous conditions as safety permits. There are dozens of roads closed and dozens of locations with wires down. All wires should be considered energized, and you need to remain away from them. Eversource will start to make locations safe as the winds permit them to do so. There is no way to provide any estimate of power restoration to the town. Individuals needing non emergency assistance, such as sheltering, may dial 2-1-1. Please reserve 9-1-1 for emergencies.
If you are without power, or have lines down, you may report them to Eversource directly at 800-286-2000.
