(October 6, 2022) —Due to additional issues encountered with the bridge, the swing span will not be opening for boat passage until further notice.There was a failure when attempting to raise the East barrier gate for the scheduled 10:00 a.m opening on October 6, 2022. This particular barrier gate was already scheduled to undergo repairs next week; however, the State Department of Transportation and American Bridge will now be working to get this repaired before the weekend of October 8th and 9th. We will keep you informed as we receive updates.
