The Haddam Killingworth High School Varsity softball team was defeated on Friday, May 7, 2021 by North Branford by a score of 12-7.

North Branford’s Jada Miconi cracked a three run homer in the 3rd inning to pace the Thunderbirds to a 12-7 win at HK today. NB pitcher Bella Hills gained the victory while striking out 12 Cougars. Ella McGlynn led the Cougars with 3 hits, including a single, double and a triple and scored 2 runs.
Four HK pitchers struck out 12 NB batters, while Kaleigh Bodak picked up her first loss of the season and is now 5-1. NB is now 6-1 while the Cougars suffered their first loss of the season and sit at 10-1
Cougars next play at home on Monday, May 10, 2021 vs Valley Regional at 4:00 p.m.
