The Haddam Killingworth High School softball team defeated Rockville on Thursday, May 16, 2019 with a final score of HK 4, Rockville 0. Faith Torello pitched a shutout today for the Cougars. She allowed just 4 hits while striking out 6. The Cougars got on the board in the first inning with a Shannon Nelson RBI single scoring Audrey Snyder who had a bunt single and stolen second base. The Cougars added 2 more runs in the 5 when Kat McQueeney knocked home a pair of runs with a hard hit single to left field. The final run scored in the 6th when Faith Mauri walked, stole second and score on a two base error. HK is now 11-6 and plays at home Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in a makeup game against Bolton.
