Saybrook at Haddam Becomes Commonwealth Senior Living

(August 11, 2023) — Commonwealth Senior Living has announced that The Saybrook at Haddam will join the Commonwealth family. This marks the company’s first senior living community in Connecticut. The community will be rebranded as Commonwealth Senior Living at Haddam and over the coming weeks, Commonwealth will introduce its twenty-two signature programs to residents.

Commonwealth Senior Living at Haddam is located at 1556 Saybrook Road in Haddam. The community features 82 independent and assisted-living units, as well as 34 memory care units for a total of 116 units.

New offerings to residents will include Commonwealth Senior Living’s “Our Promise to Veterans,” a unique offering of benefits to those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces and their spouses; Commonwealth’s interactive communication tool, SMILE ™; MyndVR, a virtual reality experience designed to increase attention, improved motor skills and orientation; Farm-to-Table Dining, which sources produce and fruits from local farms; Travel the World, an in-depth enrichment program focused on learning about countries and cultures across the globe; and Sweet Memories™ Neighborhood, which features award-winning programs specifically designed to elevate and enhance the experience of our residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.
