(August 22, 2023) — Sacred Heart on the Lake Retreat Center in Higganum announces two programs dealing with grief and bereavement.
Understanding Grief: People ask: “Why does grieving take so long and why is it so painful?” There are many factors that are part of grieving. Join us for a presentation on the tasks of grieving, on what helps a person move through grief, and on how someone who has experienced the loss of a loved one can live a more peaceful life.

New Day Seminar for the Bereaved: This nine-week seminar helps the bereaved with the tasks of grieving. The topics of each session allow individuals to share their grief story, and to learn about the grieving process and its tasks for healing in a confidential and safe setting. Listening to others gives the participant a perspective with which to begin healing. The price of the book used for the sessions is $10.00.
