Republican Primary in Killingworth to be Held September 12th

(August 14, 2023) — The Republican Primary for the Office of First Selectman will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Killingworth Elementary School from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ONLY registered Republicans may vote in this primary.

There will be a voter registration session for unaffiliated and new voters on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Killingworth Town Hall from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All mail-in, online registrations must be postmarked by Thursday September 7, 2023.

If you have a valid Connecticut Driver’s License you may go online to register. Go to the Connecticut Secretary of the State’s website:  http://www.sots.ct.gov.        This must be done before the September 7, 2023 deadline.

Unaffiliated and new voters may come to Killingworth Town Hall up until 12:00 noon on Monday, September 11, 2023 to register.

Absentee Ballots will become available on August 22, 2023, at the Killingworth Town Clerk’s Office. To qualify for an absentee ballot, a voter must be a registered Republican and must:

– submit an original paper application indicating the reason for the application and signed in ink by the applicant. Applications are available at the Killingworth Town Clerk’s Office, on the Town Clerk’s page of this website or on the Secretary of the State’s website at https://portal.ct.gov/SOTS/Election-Services/Voter-Information/Absentee-Voting

OR

– apply online with a valid Connecticut driver’s license through the Secretary of the State’s new Online Absentee Ballot Request Portal at myvote.ct.gov/GetMyAB
